The Redemption Song

Bob Marley’s Anthem Performed by Artists Around the World

Bob Marley was a hero figure, in the classic mythological sense. His death at the age of 36 came at a point when his vision of One World, One Love – inspired by his belief in Rastafari – was beginning to be heard and felt around the world.

The Redemption Song, which was the last track he performed live – eight months prior to his death – came to be known not only as his personal anthem, but that of the Jamaican people as well.

30 years after his death, Bob’s music remains timeless and universal. It has transcended all categories, classes, and creeds through a combination of simple modesty and profound wisdom.

I hope you enjoy the video as much as I do every time I watch it.
